Street Outreach Program

The objective of street outreach is to present an alternative way of life to young working girls and boys who spend their entire day working on the streets and in markets.
90% of the children who work in the southern part of Quito, work an average of 12 to 14 hours a day. The majority consistently work to raise funds to cover the daily expense of feeding their brothers and sisters. For this reason, many young children are forced to take on premature adult responsibilities and consequently miss out on their care-free days of childhood.
"Many of the children dream of studying but others have already lost the will to fight for that dream."
The street outreach program we support builds relationships with street children, motivating those who want to study and counselling those who want to share their feelings. The objective of street outreach is to discover the true situation of the children and provide them with alternative sources of support, to the end result that they will believe in their future and develop hopes and goals that they are capable of achieving.
