UBECI is an organization that strongly relies on the support of volunteers from all over the world and we are open to all people willing to dedicate their time to social work.
We accept volunteers of all ages, minimum being 18 years old. Volunteers can start working all year round. The minimum time commitment usually is 4 weeks but depends on the project. We also work with groups of volunteers or institutions (e.g. universities, highschools, churches etc.) willing to send larger groups to our projects. In this case the minimum period of time can be shortened and these groups can do projects such as construction or painting.

Normally, our volunteers work half-day in a project of their choice. In addition to that, the preparation and planning of the work in the projects is another part of their task. Some volunteers use their leisure time to take Spanish classes, if needed (for more information on optional Spanish classes, see "Optional services and Costs"). During the weekends, volunteers can travel around the country and get to know the immense scenic and cultural diversity of Ecuador.
Volunteering with UBECI offers our participants a very special experience by getting into contact with the Ecuadorian people and becoming deeply involved in their way of life.
