UBECI is a non-profit organization and our resources are channeled directly into social projects which support Ecuadorian people.

The rather small size of our organization provides us and our volunteers with several advantages. First of all, it gives us the possibility of keeping the relationship with our volunteers on a very personal basis. This is of great importance to us because we believe that this has a positive impact on the quality of our work. In addition to that, we can always be there for our volunteers, in case they might be confronted with any difficulties. Furthermore, our size contributes to the development of a strong relationship between the volunteers and the people they work with.

Moreover, we consider it an advantage of UBECI that we, as the founders and coordinators, are Ecuadorian ourselves and therefore are aware of the needs of our people and are familiar with their culture and their way of thinking. Therefore, we can respond to their demands and establish the contact between our volunteers and the Ecuadorian people they work with.
